However, his innate lust for battle drives him to seek out Sith teachings, which forces the Jedi to expel him from the order.[7]
Declaring himself Dark Lord of the Sith and taking on the name Darth Desolous, the master returns home to Utapau. Desolous proceeds to build an army around him, training hundreds of fellow Pau'ans in a personalized version of Jedi fighting techniques and equipping them with Cortosis alloy shields. He then rallies his army and embarks on a bloody campaign against the Jedi Order. Using ambush and guerilla fighting tactics, Desolous and his army ultimately slaughter over two thousand Jedi.[7]
