12p PT - Daniel Erickson, James Ohlen, Gabe Amatangelo, and Stephen Reid on stage.
12:10 - Showing Video of Huttball. Focusing first on the gunslinger, medals awarded for dealing damage, carrying the ball, etc.
12:15 - Commando got 4 medals in a row. Got unbeatable.
12:16 - Combat in SWTOR is very visual. Nearly every ability has a different animation.
12:17 - 8 different classes on each side. Each AC is a class in terms of other MMOs.
12:18 - Gunslinger can specialize in cover, burst DPS.
12:18 - Showing Huttball video.
12:19 - Question and answer starts.
12:19 - Q: Will you be able to queue in groups of 8?
12:19
- GA: Not currently. Eventually might add multiple group queues, but they want to minimize premade "steamrolling."
12:19 - Q: What options do you have for finding a group?
12:19 - GA: The game is very solo-friendly. There are also social hubs and a LFG system.
12:19 - DE: We're working on streamlining grouping and socializing. They're working on a system that prompts you to friend people after grouping with them.
12:19 - Q: What do the devs play? What are your favorite classes?
12::24 - DE: Changes all the time. Inquisitor learns some crazy some crazy mysteries about the Force.
12::24 - GA: Cover classes. Sniper and Gunslinger. Steeper learning curve, very powerful and rewarding. Also Juggernaut and Knight.
12:25 - Question about accessibility of raids.
12:26 - GA: Story is meant to be accessible to everyone. Maybe 3-6 hours of raiding to get through it... hard mode is tougher with different mechanics. Easy mode lockout does not apply to hard mode lockouts.
12:27 - Q: Will there be Wookiee massacres in the game?
12:24 - DE: Maybe. Trandoshan/Wookiee hate is alive and well. No faction grinding.
12:28 - Q: Are dungeons like WoW?
12:28 - DE: No. Branching story and multiplayer dialogue make it very different.
12:29 - GA: No dungeon finder. Crew skills give RPG-style bonuses to certain Flashpoint areas. Slicing example.
12:30 - GA: You haven't seen even half of our Flashpoints.
12:31 - Q: How do you balance iconic content versus new content?
12:31 - DE: KOTOR is a great example. Very iconic, but not a carbon copy of the movies. One fight in KOTOR might feel like the fight in Emperor's throne room. Operations are bit more creative, but class stories stick more to iconic moments, you as the single hero.
12:33 - Q: Clarify last week's comment about mixed faction Huttball teams.
12:34 - GA: No characters of different factions on the same team, but Republic can fight Republic, and Empire can fight Empire.
12:34 - Huttball video and session ends.
